Hospital Staff

Client-Patient Director Cynthia McAlpin has worked with clients and their pets at Starkville Veterinary Hospital since 2003. She loves working hands-on with animals. When she's not at the hospital, she enjoys cooking with friends, decorating, gardening and spending time with her pets. Her animal companions include two cats, Sylvester and Cracker Jack, and a dog named Ty.

Ranae Sisk is the office manager at Starkville Veterinary Hospital. A member of the staff since 1988, she is proud of the professional, compassionate care the hospital staff and veterinarians offer to pets. Her hobbies include shopping, interior decorating, baking and singing. She loves spending time with her husband, Stanley, and their son, Jeb. The family shares their home with a cat named Single Shot.

Veterinary technician Jocelyn Robinson-McQuirter has worked with animals since 2001. She joined the Starkville Veterinary Hospital staff in 2004 and loves working with the hospital staff and all the pets that come in each day. Jocelyn enjoys riding her quarter horse, Fancy, and competes in team roping events in her spare time. Her other hobbies include scrapbooking, swimming, tennis and going to flea markets and antique stores. She also enjoys going for walks with her dog, Nola. She also had a baby girl named Julianne in August 2009.

Head veterinary technician Rosie Thompson has helped care for pets at Starkville Veterinary Hospital since 2000. She loves working with animals and is proud of the quality care the hospital offers. Rosie's hobbies include fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with her family. She enjoys the companionship of her dog, Pepper Oliver, and her cat, Bootsie.

Tara McCurdy has been a veterinary technician at Starkville Veterinary Hospital since 2004. She enjoys the educational opportunities that come with working at the hospital and loves helping take care of pets. She is the proud owner of Harley, a Miniature Poodle. Outside of work, she can be found making ceramics and jewelry with her mother for the small business they own together. She also enjoys swimming, fishing, gardening, traveling and spending time with her husband, Mark, and their two sons, Mason and Logan.

Savana Ferguson McGinnis has been a receptionist at Starkville Veterinary Hospital since January 2010. She is an animal lover and enjoys interacting with the hospital's clients and staff alike. Savana has a cat named Banks and two dogs, a white Labrador Retriever named Dixie and a chocolate Labrador Retriever named Joe. She is hoping to be a breeder soon and likes to spend her free time with friends and family. Savana also enjoys being outdoors, reading, cooking and watching Mississippi State football.
